These metrics help to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Measure progress:<\/strong> Track the advancement towards sprint and project goals.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Identify impediments:<\/strong> Early detection of obstacles that may delay work.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Improve planning:<\/strong> Optimize the estimation and task allocation in future sprints.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Foster transparency:<\/strong> Provide clear and shared information about the project&#8217;s status.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Promote continuous improvement:<\/strong> Evaluate the team&#8217;s efficiency to implement constant process improvements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In summary, the metrics provided by DoneTonic are fundamental to the success of projects and\/or products, as they provide objective data that guides decision-making, improves planning, and facilitates the detection and resolution of problems, all while fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.<\/p>\n<h3>How to create a new chart in DoneTonic<\/h3>\n<p>First of all, to be able to create and\/or edit charts in DoneTonic, you must have the corresponding permission.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t have it, you should ask your workspace administrator. In the same navigation menu, the administrator can go to the Administration section &gt; Manage users. There, you can edit the data or also delete the chart.<\/p>\n<h4>What charts can you find in the Scrum Boards of DoneTonic:<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Sprint Analysis:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Description:<\/strong> Provides an analysis of the PBIs in each Sprint. You can see how many PBIs were completed, blocked, and\/or canceled during each sprint.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong> Offers feedback on what worked well and what didn\u2019t, identifying areas for improvement for future sprints. It is essential for continuous improvement and adapting the work process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Velocity Chart:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Description:<\/strong> Measures the amount of work a team completes in a sprint.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong> Helps predict how much work the team can take on in future sprints, improving planning and task estimation. It is a key metric for measuring the team&#8217;s performance and capacity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WIP (Work in Progress) Age Chart:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Description:<\/strong> Measures the age of a PBI (Product Backlog Item) in WIP. It calculates how long a PBI has been in progress (WIP) from when it started to the current moment.<\/li>\n<li><strong> Objective:<\/strong> Helps identify PBIs that are taking too long, which can indicate blockages or bottlenecks. It is useful for maintaining an efficient workflow and minimizing cycle time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Backlog Burndown Chart:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Description:<\/strong> The Backlog Burndown Chart shows the amount of work remaining in the project backlog over time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong> Helps teams monitor the overall progress of the project\/product and determine if long-term goals are being met.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sprint Burndown Chart:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Description<\/strong>: The Sprint Burndown Chart shows the amount of work remaining in the current sprint, usually in terms of story points, hours, or tasks, over the duration of the sprint.
